Mosites reusable vacuum blankets

Mosites #1453 is a high strength silicone rubber compound for use as reusable and durable vacuum blankets in producing composite aerospace articles. It features high elongation and excellent tear strength properties as well as retention of physical properties after exposure to high pressures and elevated temperatures encountered in autoclave cure cycles of composite manufacturing.
 

Key technical data is:

• 616% elongation
• up to 230°C service temperature
• 50 Shore A hardness
• 1-3% shrinkage
• gray color

Mosites #1453 is available in cured and uncured form and widely use at all leading aircraft manufacturers and OEMs.

Embossed Blankets

To allow better air or resin flow Mosites rubber blankets are available in different embossed pattern and thicknesses.

In addition these textured surfaces allow desired imprints in thermoset or thermoplastic materials and parts for design and other reasons.
