Aqua Blocks
Prototyping
For all customers who want to machine their own Aqua mandrels we offer prefabricated Aqua blocks. These blocks are compacted, dried and vacuum packed in Aluminium foil. The blocks can be used right after receipt or can be hold on stock for any further application. Therefore you are able to react extremely flexible to your need.
You can chose between our standard Aquacore blocks for autoclave applications up to 6bar. These blocks offer a very easy and fast washout.
The CavusCore Blocks (CC-GP) can even be used at high-temperature and/or high-pressure, such as Thermplastic applictions (400°C).
For sealing we recommend Teflon tape (Airtech Teflease MG2). This is the quickest and safest way to produce prototypes. For Spray-On sealing you can use our Aquaseal 3818.
For the bonding of our Aqua blocks we recommend the use of our Aqua-Tool-Bond. This water-soluble adhesive withstands temperatures up to 195°C and fits therefore perfect to our Aqua blocks. Below is the data sheet and a movie for download available.
Machined Aqua mandrels can be used for all common composite applications.
